Benjamin Boulard

I have been practicing law since February 2002. Following a Master's degree in Private Law at the University of Paris XII, I obtained a specialized post-graduate degree (DESS) in Public Procurement and Public Service Delegation at the University of Poitiers, and I am a graduate of the Institute of Public Business Law (Sceaux Paris XI).

From 2002 to 2005, I began my professional career as an associate attorney in a Parisian firm specializing primarily in business law.

I decided to found my own law firm in the Val-de-Marne department in 2005, first in Vincennes and then in Saint-Mandé.

Since the establishment of my firm, I have chosen to practice in a human-scale environment. This ensures that my clients receive personalized attention, and a relationship built on availability, responsiveness, and attentive listening.

Practice Areas

Family Law Attorney

Family law governs all family relationships and is often deeply rooted in personal experiences and human connections. It covers a wide range of areas such as separation (divorce, legal separation, de facto separation), adoption, name changes, third-party rights (grandparents), paternity establishment or contestation, inheritance, and matrimonial property regimes.

Admitted to the Paris Court of Appeal and practicing in Saint-Mandé, I assist you in navigating this complexity by advising you, proposing the most suitable solutions for your situation, and serving as an interface with the opposing party or their counsel.

Expertise in Family Matters

Benjamin BOULARD is registered with the Val-de-Marne Bar Association. He handles litigation involving family law and all related legal branches.

Your Dedicated Legal Counsel

If you are separated and wish to divorce legally, Benjamin BOULARD assists you in all divorce proceedings, including mutual consent divorces which no longer require a judge's intervention. A simple agreement drafted by respective attorneys is sufficient to facilitate the separation and reduce procedure times. In case of disagreement, the matter will be brought before the courts.

The firm also handles requests for name and surname changes, disputes regarding parental authority, as well as paternity claims.

Seeking advice on inheritance, succession rights, or the liquidation of matrimonial regimes? Benjamin BOULARD will examine your case with the utmost rigor to advise you on the most effective strategy. Many disputes can be settled amicably, as a mediator is sometimes all that is needed to restore communication cut off by family conflicts. The firm assists you in drafting parenting agreements in an amicable framework. If this fails, a strong case will be built to defend your interests before the judge.

Criminal Law Attorney

Upon your request, Mr. BOULARD assists you in all areas related to criminal law, regardless of your status as a victim or a defendant. Because your case is unique, it is essential for us to treat it individually to guarantee the most effective defense possible.

Legal Assistance for Victims

Your attorney's mission is to guarantee the defense of victims of offenses, notably by helping them file a complaint. It is crucial to be well-advised from the very beginning so that the request is legally admissible. The attorney is also by your side throughout the investigation, during any trial via traditional pleadings, and in the context of claiming compensation for damages.

Defense of the Accused

The firm also provides defense for any person accused of committing an offense, whether major or minor. Considering the right to defense as a fundamental principle, your attorney has the responsibility to advise and assist you throughout the judicial process. He intervenes significantly during the trial, where his pleading is delivered to best preserve and defend your interests, which heavily impacts the final decision and potential sentencing.

Police Custody (Garde à vue) Assistance

Mr. BOULARD also intervenes during police custody in Paris or its surroundings. The assistance of a criminal defense lawyer from the very first hours of the procedure guarantees that the individual's rights are respected. Police custody is a key moment, and rapid intervention is essential to prevent any unjustified pressure and ensure the interrogation proceeds under strict legal conditions.

Employment & Labor Law

  • Employment Contract Execution: overtime, discrimination, harassment, disciplinary actions;
  • Contract Termination: mutual termination agreements (rupture conventionnelle), dismissals, judicial termination, settlement agreements;

Mr. BOULARD assists his clients in all areas of employment law, providing both advisory and litigation services. He brings comprehensive expertise in individual labor relations.

Labor law evolves every year in France. Your employment attorney maintains a constant legal watch, allowing you to benefit from up-to-date knowledge and ensuring your rights are fully protected and optimized.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I prepare for our first meeting? +

"To make the most of our first meeting, I invite you to bring your ID and any documents related to your case (employment contract, past judgments, correspondence, etc.). But if you don't have everything on hand, don't worry: we will review everything together to build your file step by step."

How long does a divorce procedure take? +

"It really depends on your situation. A mutual consent divorce (without a judge) can be finalized by me in a few months. However, in case of disagreement requiring us to go before the Family Court Judge, I will support you through a longer procedure, which can take one to two years."

Do you intervene in emergencies for police custody (garde à vue)? +

"Absolutely. I intervene very quickly to assist you or your loved ones during police custody in Paris and throughout the Île-de-France region. I believe that the presence of an attorney from the very first hours is crucial to immediately guarantee that your rights are respected."

Is it mandatory to go to the Employment Tribunal in case of a conflict with an employer? +

"No, it is not automatic. I always prioritize exploring an amicable solution first (such as a settlement or a mutual termination agreement), as it is often faster and less costly for you. But if the conflict persists and litigation is unavoidable, I will be by your side to defend you tenaciously before the Employment Tribunal."
